Company Details and Job Overview:
A small, privately owned business on the outskirts of Kendal are seeking an experienced finance professional to manage all financial processes for the business. With a steady turnover in the region of £1-1.5m, this specialist service based business boasts a diverse customer base which includes many prestige and well known brands.

This is a part time position (32 hours), and the working hours can be flexible to suit the successful individual. A hybrid working arrangement is also available.
Your New Role as Accountant:
This is a standalone finance role reporting to the Directors. Working in a small and friendly team, your duties will include:
• Working alongside the external accountant to prepare all required information to enable the production of management accounts
• Routine bookkeeping duties including bank reconciliations, VAT returns and tax returns using Sage
• Preparing and sending invoices
• Management of debtors and creditors
• Management of cash flow
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Management of governance policies including GDPR, insurances and procurement
• Driving continual improvement initiatives, providing recommendations for system/process enhancements, implementing these where necessary
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The successful candidate will already be fully established in a similar bookkeeping capacity within a small business in a varied and hands on remit. People orientated, you will be a confident communicator with the ability to present financial information to non-finance staff and Directors. Experience of Sage is desirable and you will be proficient using MS Excel.
