Company Details and Job Overview:
Based in London, this organisation are highly experienced in employment and human resources, law, tax, global mobility, consulting and support services. They are now seeking to employ a permanent and full-time Accounts and Payroll Coordinator to work on a remote basis. There will be the occasional trip to London for training and events, but you will be able to work from home the majority of the time.
Your New Role as the Accounts and Payroll Coordinator:
As the Accounts and Payroll Coordinator you will be responsible for the following duties:-
ACCOUNTS & PAYROLL
● Accurate recording of financial transactions onto
- Client and Nominal Ledgers
- Purchase Ledger
● Assisting with month-end processes
● Quarterly VAT reporting and quarterly submission – as required
● Assisting with year-end audit
● Checking office and client accounts for DD/STOs and receipts and setting-up bank payments
● Processing company credit card expenditure
● Paying creditors as approved
● Petty cash
● Processing Partners’ and staff expenses
● Reporting any issues of concern to the COFA
● Preparation and processing of payroll for clients
- 26 payrolls (Most with 1 to 4 employees and four payrolls slightly more complex involving between 15 to 30 employees)
● Submitting pension contributions and eps/fps details
MANAGEMENT REPORTING
● Assistance with the production of monthly management reports working with the other two members of the accounts team as required.
● Preparation of monthly billing statements for distribution to consultant fee earners
● Any other accounts reports as may be required from time to time.
BILLING & CREDIT CONTROL
● Issuing billing guides to fee earners, processing wip & billing adjustments advised by fee earners and distribution of final invoices to clients.
● Preparing any related reports requested by clients (eg Professional Services client summaries)
● Assist with credit control when required.
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
● Experience with payroll preferred
● Experience of dealing with law firm accounting preferred – not essential
● Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules preferred – not essential
● Familiar with client account requirements
● Experience of Partner for Windows preferred – not essential
● Strong numerical and analytical skills
