Company Details and Job Overview:

Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a Group of businesses in Blackpool who require an Accounts Apprentice to join their experienced finance team. The business has achieved impressive results over the last 12 months with further growth forecasted. This opportunity is ideal for someone who has already completed the AAT level 2 course and would like to continue with their studies and have a career in the finance industry.

Your New Role as Accounts Apprentice:

As Accounts Apprentice, you will receive support and full training from the finance team and be enrolled onto an apprenticeship whereby you will start/continue your AAT training. The duties are as follows:-

1. Processing purchase invoices and resolving queries. Where necessary seek appropriate approval and in the event of queries contact relevant personnel.
2. Ensure all relevant invoices are matched to official orders and only authorised invoices are paid.
3. Respond to supplier queries by phone or email.
4. Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all company liabilities are recognised.
5. Posting sales invoices.
6. Chasing overdue debts in line with company procedures.
7. Preparation of weekly reports.
8. General administrative duties.
9. Support to other members of finance department.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the finance industry and will either have already started their AAT studies or wish to move on to the next level. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, possess a high level of accuracy and have good numerical skills.

Salary and Reward on Offer:

You will be paid National Minimum Wage based on your age, up to £9.50 per hour. This is a full time (37.5 hours), office based position and free parking is available. You will receive sufficient levels of support and training from multiple staff members to enable a smooth transition into your new role, with ongoing support to enable career and skills development. You will granted time out of the office to attend your apprenticeship.
