This role will initially start predominantly in the role of Purchase Ledger, with a succession plan in place to progress higher within the business. This position has become available as a result of an internal promotion.

Your new role as Accounts Assistant:
As Accounts Assistant specialising in Purchase Ledger you will work closely with all areas of the business, ensuring good supplier relations are achieved and maintained.
Key duties include:
• Matching and checking invoices against purchase orders
• Processing and coding invoices with the ERP system
• Assist in queries
• Processing company expenses
• Preparing and advising on supplier payments
• Maintaining the purchase ledger to ensure accuracy
• Reconciling and revaluing the purchase ledger at month end
• Reconcile supplier statements monthly
Initially the role will include the above responsibilities. The role will develop to include wider tasks within the accounts function which will include credit control, payroll and general accounting assistance.
Experience & Qualifications required to apply:
To be the Accounts Assistant you ideally will have had prior experience in the position of Purchase Ledger Assistant, and working towards or completed your AAT. You will have the ability to work methodically with accuracy to ensure all applications are processed efficiently. Strong Excel knowledge is required and be comfortable operating and learning new systems.
