Kenton Black Finance have partnered with an independent, large-scale business in Carlisle, which has been established for over 30 years. This organisation are well-respected in their chosen industry and are seeking a full time Accounts Assistant based in their Head Office. This is a fully office based role.

Your new role as the Accounts Assistant:

As Accounts Assistant , you will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Key duties:
• Maintain the Purchase Ledger, inputting invoices and new supplier set ups
• Weekly payment runs
• Contract openings, reconciliations and closures
• Work with the team to develop finance controls and compliance procedures
• Assist with preparation of year end
• Dealing with supplier enquiries
• Processing of bank transactions into the accounting system

Experience & Qualifications required to apply:

To be considered, you must possess experience in a finance or accountancy function. In addition, you will be capable of problem solving, possess analytical skills and capable of working well under pressure. You must be able to demonstrate that you are well-organised, able to work to strict deadlines, possess strong negotiation skills with the ability to prioritise workload and planning. Proficient IT skills, with particular experience of Microsoft packages, particularly excel.
