They now seek to appoint an Accounts Payable Manager into their experienced finance team. Your Role as the Accounts Payable Manager:
As the new Accounts Payable Manager, you will support, mentor and develop the Accounts Payable Administrators in the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger. You will oversee and review the accounts payable and employee payment ledgers, whilst taking responsibility to complete and close the month in line with the communicated deadlines. In addition, you will oversee the preparation of the monthly AP reconciliations for all entities for approval by the Financial Controller. You will also be responsible for the preparation of the monthly AP accrual requirements for invoices received after
ledger close applicable to the current reporting month, whilst being responsible for the AP authorisation process. You will handle the management of the payment run schedule for all entities, whilst being responsible for keeping accurate and up to date information on SL of bank transactions via direct debit and standing orders, to ensure bank reconciliation will be accurate and complete. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the timely and consistent completion of monthly supplier statement reconciliations, and manage the day-to-day contact for AP escalation and resolution. Lastly, you will have day-to-day contact for Barclaycard users and petty cash requirements of the company, whilst having day-to-day contact for foreign currency and month end reconciliation.
Experience & Qualifications required to apply:
To be considered, you must be possess at least 2 years experience in a similar role. You will possess a substantial working knowledge across a range of clerical, secretarial and administrative functions; including a substantial working knowledge of cost accruals concept, an understanding of purchase tax/value added tax requirements covering different countries (desirable) and sound knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Outlook etc). In addition, you will have good communication skills with all levels, good interpersonal skills with external stakeholders good communication and motivational spirit with all staff members, and a helpful, understanding and clear when delivering instruction.
