Assay Development Scientist – BioPharmaceuticals
Working alongside one of the largest laboratory organisations in Europe; perhaps the World, we are looking for BioAssay Scientists, or Assay Development Scientists, (or perhaps just a scientist who happens to be familiar with the processes initially!) to join their scientific services team, developing methodologies for assay development based out of their client’s GMP biopharma lab in Berkshire.

This is the bit where I’m supposed to sell you the company (and tell you how good the job is!) but first, let’s focus on what’s in it for you:
- Generous salary & interesting working environment
- Stable career in a growing (biopharmaceutical) industry
- Development opportunities as part of the role, as well as from being part of the organisation, including a unique perspective as a client facing consultant scientist, as opposed to working for an end user organisation.
- Awesome benefits package.
- Access to internal job portal with job opportunities worldwide.

A standard hours Monday to Friday, this opportunity would suit someone with roughly 2-3 years experience in doing the following:
• Supporting validation activities
• Generating and documenting data from experimental work.
• A broad range of analytical techniques including ELISA, Biacore, and cell based techniques.
• Using electronic media to capture analysis.
• The scope of work shall be conducted to a high level of proficiency within the required timeframes and associated data collated and reported in line with the preferred format.
• To support trouble shooting, resolving methodology issues to assure suitability of associated sample results.
• As an ambassador for your business, understand & comply with company, regulatory and statutory requirements as well as client handling day to day.
• Raise and complete regulatory records as required and prepare GMP documentation.
• Conduct laboratory housekeeping and performing instrument maintenance and reagent / consumable stock checks.

If this sounds like it could be something you’re interested in then by all means, please apply! I will try my absolute best to get back to everyone who does so, regardless of the outcome of your application.

All the best in your job search.
