Your new role as Assistant Accountant:
As Assistant Accountant within the corporate finance function you shall operate in a varied role, adding value to the month-end process whilst managing the day to day financials. Producing accurate monthly management information, you shall provide an efficient and effective service, facilitating the strategic direction of the group. As part of a team, reporting to the Finance Manager you shall produce accurate and commercially driven information, including the tracking of KPI’s to aid the decision making process.
Key role duties:
• Production of accurate and timely management information at month end
• Maintenance across all ledgers, production of invoices and processing payments
• Accruals, prepayments, and cashflow maintenance
• Stakeholders engagement throughout the budget setting process, ensuring they understand the detail in order they take ownership of their individual businesses
• Balance sheet reconciliations with discrepancies investigated and resolved
• Fixed Asset management
• Contributing to the annual statutory accounting and all other related statutory returns
• Develop and improve existing systems and processes
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
AAT Qualified, QBE or working towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA you shall relevant experience within a similar, varied role. With experience across the production of Management Accounts, you shall also have experience of budget setting and analysing financial performance. An effective communicator you shall have the knowledge and experience to add value as a business partner. Having worked at pace, you shall have the skills and ability to meet strict deadlines and be prepared to take responsibility for transactional accounting to support a team
