Your New Role As Assistant Accountant:

Supporting the financial controller, working in a team of 8, this role will begin on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract. With the potential for this to become permanent, you shall be based in the local office, and also have responsibility to travel to another North West site on an ad hoc basis (fully expensed petrol).

Role Responsibilities:

• Processing Vat Returns for HMRC
• Intrastats and EC Sales reporting for HMRC
• Accounting reconciliations across the ledgers
• SOX compliance
• Fixed Asset management
• Invoice processing including payment Runs & Managing Multiple Bank Accounts
• Ad-hoc finance duties

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered, you shall have experience in a similar role, with the technical skills to carry out the duties outlined in the above job description. With a solid understanding of accounting requirements, and the ability to work in line with financial reporting standards you shall also have good communication and interpersonal skills. Working in a team environment you shall have have excellent Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables) and be able to work independently and part of a team.
