A family owned SME in Poulton-le-Fylde are looking to recruit a new Assistant Accountant within their finance function. The business is firmly rooted in their market, with continued growth forecasted. This is a hands on and varied role which covers the full spectrum of finance, receiving support from the Finance Manager.

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant:

As Assistant Accountant you will work in a small team, reporting to the Finance Manager. In a varied role, specific duties will include:

• Supporting with month end management accounts production
• Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
• VAT returns
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of payments
• Reconciliation of bank statements
• Purchase ledger and sales ledger duties
• Assisting in ad hoc projects as required

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful candidate will be proven in a similar level finance role, with exposure to the above activities. With a forward thinking working approach, you will be a good team-worker with the ability to work under your own initiative. Ideally, you will be keen to progress and build on your skills within finance as advancement opportunities will become available. Strong IT skills are also required including Excel and knowledge of Sage 50 is desirable.
