Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a privately owned business in Blackpool who are looking to appoint a new Assistant Accountant. This is an ideal move for an experienced Accounts Assistant with strong purchase and sales ledger experience, seeking longer-term development into other areas of finance including management accounting support.

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant:
Working in a small and friendly finance team of 3, this role reports to the Finance Manager who will act as a mentor, providing all necessary training and guidance. Specific duties will include:
• Ownership of purchase ledger, being the primary point of contact for all supplier queries
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Supporting with month end routine and management accounts production
• Provide sales ledger support as required
• Other ad hoc tasks within finance

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The successful candidate will demonstrate 3+ years’ experience of working within a busy finance team, with excellent exposure to purchase and sales ledger. With a forward thinking work approach and the ability to “think outside of the box”, the ideal candidate will also have drive to further develop their skills and support the Finance Manager with management accounting procedures. Whilst not essential, AAT study is desirable and the business will provide a study package to complete the full qualification if required.
