A PE backed, service based Group of businesses in Blackpool are looking to strengthen their finance team by appointing a new Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant. 100%+ year on year growth has been achieved through organic growth, acquisition and launching new products and services.

Offices are located in Blackpool and Preston (close to motorway junctions), this role can be based in either offices and hybrid working arrangements are available.

Your New Role as Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant:
This is a fairly fluid role which can be moulded to the successful candidate’s capabilities and skills, receiving sufficient levels of support and guidance from the FC and FD. Below outlines some of the duties in this diverse role which offers exposure to the full spectrum of finance.
• Production of monthly management accounts for the Group
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Posting accruals, prepayments and journals
• Contribute to the annual audit process and year end requirements
• Involvement in various projects relating to strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions and growth plans
• Review and suggest improvements to existing systems and processes
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The ideal candidate will be committed to further developing their skills within finance, lots of exposure can be provided with the relevant support from the FC/FD. Ideally you will be actively studying CIMA/ACCA and committed to completing the full qualification. You will be forward thinking with a positive working attitude, willing to learn and contribute new ideas for improved ways of working.
