A large, global manufacturing business on the Fylde Coast require an Assistant Cost and Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Very well-established, this business is experiencing continued growth and are firmly rooted as a market leader in their area of operation.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious CIMA studier or AAT qualified individual looking to further enhance their career within finance.

Your New Role as Assistant Cost and Management Accountant:

Working in a high calibre and friendly team of finance professionals, you will enjoy a diverse role which includes many business facing aspects. Specific duties will include production of various monthly reports, with specific focus on capital spend analysis and forecasting; supporting engineering and project teams, analysing spend and providing financial insight to help monitor budgets; preparation of periodic budgets, assisting with forecasting activities; and supporting with other areas of the finance function including accounts payable cover and manufacturing cost accounting processes.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful individual will be familiar with month end and management accounting processes, with an analytical mindset and good systems skills including Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables and handling large data volumes). Knowledge and experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as you will receive full training and ongoing support from a senior member of the finance team who will act as a dedicated mentor. Ideally you will already be studying CIMA and be keen to qualify, or be AAT qualified looking to further develop (a full study package will be available). Strong communication skills are required and you will have the confidence to work cross-functionally, business partnering with other departments within the business.
