A well known brand in Cumbria are looking to appoint a new Assistant Management Accountant due to growth. A full time role is available, however my client is open to applications from candidates seeking a reduced hours working pattern or flexible working arrangements.

Your New Role as Assistant Management Accountant:

Working in a friendly team of 4-5 finance staff. This role reports to the Management Accountant/Finance Manager and provides lots of exposure to month end routine / management accounting processes. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Supporting with the production of monthly management accounts
• Supporting with the annual audit process
• Preparation and distribution of the monthly departmental cost reporting
• Supporting with budget preparation
• Posting journals
• VAT returns
• Preparation of weekly KPI reports
• Provide assistance with sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control duties as required

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will have relevant exposure within a finance function and ideally be AAT qualified. Support and training will be provided where required but you must be a forward thinker with the ability to adapt to new processes and systems. Strong Excel skills are required (pivot tables, VLookups), and knowledge of Sage is advantageous.
