Site Supervisor - Cleanrooms

The cleanroom business of this leading specialist international contractor has work secured into 2025 and is therefore entering into an exciting period of expansion.
They are urgently looking to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor / Assistant Site Manager, to cover cleanroom construction and fit out projects nationwide. Project locations include the North West, Midlands, South West, and North East; so regular travel is to expected, with some overnight stays required.
In addition to cleanroom or similar (laboratories, hospital fitout, Cat A fitout) project experience, candidates should have knowledge and experience of -
⢠Design procurement.
⢠Construction methods and best practice, technologies and materials.
⢠Contractual position, contracts and documents.
⢠Subcontract/ material procurement.
⢠Management systems, standards and specifications.
The successful applicant will responsible for:
⢠The management of employees, sub-contractors and materials to ensure the
safe and effective delivery of assigned contract works.
⢠Ensuring pre-appointment and co-ordination meetings are held with all Sub-Contractors.
⢠The implementation of applicable company H&S policies and procedure.
⢠Ensuring contract costs are managed within budget, ensuring customer
satisfaction is achieved on all contracts.
⢠Ensuring there is adequate control of materials, plant and equipment to prevent
loss by damage, waste, theft or unnecessary hire charges.
⢠Ensuring all work is completed to an acceptable quality standard and in
compliance with specification.
⢠Ensuring the implementation of Quality Management System to include Quality
and Environmental processes and procedures.
⢠Ensure labour resources are managed in accordance with the Working Time
Directive, the Working Rule Agreement and Company policies and procedures.
⢠Ensuring adequate resources are in place for contracts under their control.
⢠Developing safe systems of work utilising generic risk assessments to develop
task specific assessments.
⢠Ensuring contract specific site safety statements are developed including any
sub-contracted works. These safety statements must be maintained as āliveā
documents for the duration of the project.
⢠Ensuring where any work is executed in public areas and occupied buildings, that
adequate control measures are implemented to ensure the safety of anyone
who may be affected.
⢠Ensuring site establishment, welfare facilities and ongoing professional
appearance of sites are maintained.
⢠Providing information, instruction and training to operatives in emergency
procedures and the content of Risk Assessments and safe systems of work.
⢠Ensuring contract review meetings are held on all contracts and maintain good
working relationships with Client/ Project team throughout the contract.
