Excellent opportunity for a Bioinformatics project manager

This is a permanent opportunity based full remote position. The salary is negotiable.

Kenton Black Scientific is a recruitment partner to a global Molecular diagnostic testing laboratory based in Surrey. They currently looking to hire a Bioinformatics project manager with next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis experience .
Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing script to automate data transfer between local systems and cloud
Develop scripts to automate data transfer of array data
Provide data analysis for NGS data (next generation sequencing data)
Ensure all NGS data handling pipelines are correct and crossed check using alternative methods
Interpretation of NGS data of variants and produce supporting SOPs and work instructions
Pro-actively support customer and project management team through communication, troubleshooting and resolution of any issues and concerns.

Provide accurate and well thought out solutions for problems and issues based on a strong theoretical and practical knowledge

Qualifications:
Degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computational Biology
Proven experience in providing NGS data analysis and interpretation
Proven experience in good programming skills using Bash and Python
Experience in the use of NGS bioinformatic pipelines
Experience in analysing Illumina NGS sequence data
