Job Title: Scientist – Chromatography Specialist
Location: Bradford
Salary: up to 35K
My client is a leading pharmaceutical company committed to excellence in analytical sciences. They are currently seeking a talented and experienced Analytical Scientist with a strong chromatography background to join our separation sciences team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Method development and validation using a range of chromatographic techniques (LC, GC, IC) with various detection methods.
• Analysis of a diverse range of test samples.
• Communication of study progress and results to clients and the team.
• Working in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
• Lead laboratory-based analytical projects, including client discussions, project planning, technical oversight, complex analysis, data review, and client presentations.
• Retain and develop technical skills through staying informed about scientific literature, contributing to the upskilling of junior team members, and supporting team improvement suggestions.
• Contribute to company goals and operate in alignment with our core values.
• Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and high-quality data presentation.
The candidate:
• BSc or higher in an analytical, chemical, or related scientific field.
• Demonstrated ability to run complex scientific projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical field.
• Extensive practical experience with chromatography techniques, including HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, Ion Chromatography, GPC, and TLC.
• Experience with method development and validations within a GMP environment.
• Inquisitive and passionate scientist with values aligned with our business core values.
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot instrument issues within your area of expertise.
• Experience working to tight deadlines with a "right first time" approach.
• Initiative, independence, and strong multitasking skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and IT literacy.
