Your new role as Cluster Financial Controller:

As Cluster Financial Controller you shall take responsibility for all aspects of the finance function across 2 operating sites. With a fluid working agreement, including an attractive home/office working agreement, you shall look to manage the finance function across the cluster. Supervising and developing a team of 4, you shall be responsible for developing internal controls, enhancing the financial reporting and also seek to produce detailed management/statutory accounts in a timely manner. As part of the senior leadership team you shall work closely with a number of stakeholders and develop strategy across varying areas of the leisure sector.

Main Role Duties:
• Production of monthly management accounting, financial reports and annual statutory accounting
• Production of month-end analysis and board pack
• Manage the transactional team of 3 to ensure the timely close of month end ledgers
• Treasury management and management of all VAT, PAYE, corporation and other tax requirements
• Continuous improvements to enhance process and procedure
• Variance analysis across your division
• Stakeholder engagement and business partnering
• Payroll management including pensions and onboarding
• Production of annual budgets and forecasts in partnership with the operational heads
• Staff development, mentoring and monitoring

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
In order to be considered for this role you shall have a proven track record of adding commercial value whilst being hands-on in a lead role. You shall have experience in the leisure sector and have the confidence and skills as a business partner. You shall have experience of managing staff and be able to mentor effectively to up-skill your team. Technically strong with a hands-on approach you may be formally qualified, on the way to attaining this status or QBE in a lead role within the sector. You shall have experience of developing process and procedure and be commercially savvy in a fast paced environment.
