Senior business development manager - B2B

This is a permanent opportunity paying negotiable salary, car allowance and other benefits

Kenton Black Scientific is a recruitment partner to a leading British food testing laboratory that provides food microbiology and food chemistry testing services . Our client is looking to recruit a senior business development manager to join their commercial team. This person will be responsible for managing existing client portfolio, team management and identifying new sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all activities related to managing customer requirements
Manage a team of account and sales managers
Responsible for maintaining excellent relationship with external clients by understanding their business needs
Identify upselling opportunities within existing client portfolio
Creates and maintains relationship with customers and scientists to ensure new services are delivered on time.
Uses knowledge of services and process to define and evaluate new services and products that lead to significant increases in business performance.
Uses knowledge of services to improve performance and margin.
Responsible for delivering technical information in a way that meets the needs of the target audience.
Provide training to new staff

Qualifications:

Candidate background:
My client is ideally looking for a senior business development manager who has previously worked within food testing or food manufacturing sector.

Essential

• Degree in Science or equivalent
• Previous experience in Sales and marketing within B2B
• Previous experience project management
• Experience in laboratory services sales and marketing, understanding competitor capabilities and
identifying gaps in the market
• Previous experience people management and team management
• Excellent experience in building customer relationships at both a buyer and senior level
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Budget Management
