Company Details And Job Overview:

Based on the outskirts of Newton-le-Willows, this company are one of the largest, independent, and privately-owned companies providing specialist services within the UK. The company has a turnover of circa £250 million and they employ over 7000 staff. They want to employ a Credit Controller on a 12 MONTH CONTRACT, however, there is an 80% chance this job will become permanent. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience in credit control, and be happy to work 37.5 hours per week.

Your New Role As The Credit Controller:

• Control and manage assigned customer accounts, ensuring customer payments are received in a timely manner.
• Issue customer statements and invoices via email
• Make and receive customer telephone calls.
• Reply to customer emails.
• Assist in the resolution of customer queries to eliminate payment delays.
• Reporting on debtors’ status / overdue accounts
• Consult with other Company Centre's to deliver a best-in-class service to customers.
• Assist with general admin duties within department.
• Observe and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Any additional fair and reasonable task requests

Experience & Qualifications Required To Apply:

• Strong understanding of Credit Control process and compliance
• Excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills
• Positive, initiative-taking attitude to collections
• Persistence and determination
• Ability to work on own initiative to prioritise workload.
• A team player
• PC literate with experience using SAGE and Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

Salary And Benefits On Offer:

• Salary on offer is up to £26,000
• Hybrid working - after 3 months (possibly sooner) working for the business
• 22 days annual leave (+ Bank Holidays), plus 1 extra day for every year you work for the business, capped at 25 days
• Company sick pay - Up to 2 weeks (discretionary)
• Company pension
