Senior Estimator - Main Contractor - North West

We are working with a large, forward thinking, international main contractor who are well known for delivering some of the most exciting projects in the country. With a number of internal promotions we are now looking for a estimator to join the established team from the North West office. The company work on a wide range of projects within the build sector consisting of large residential developments, state of the art office space and large industrial builds. The chosen estimator will have the chance to work on both large and small projects within all sectors and have the opportunity to work with some of the best in the game.

Depending on your experience the role will see you reporting into the Pre-Construction Manager working on estimates from £10m up-to £150m. The head office has a strong pre-con team that will give you the support needed when working on larger schemes and you will be offered all the support and training you require from the regional office set up.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking individual who is looking to take the next step in their career, given the opportunity to progress and take the lead with more junior members of the team depending on your own experience.

Responsibilities:

• Process and analyse enquiries incoming from a wide range of clients
• Manage the process of preparing take-offs as well as material schedules
• Update project costs throughout the process to match the latest information
• Participate in tender handover meetings
• Prepare subcontract enquiries and evaluate quotation
• Working within a team submit proposals to clients and stakeholders
• Negotiate terms with clients and suppliers
• Maintaining cost library based on feedback from the commercial department
• Prepare estimates and outline programmes for the costs of the works
• Coordinate tender
