My Client are a leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor. They have a region office in Yorkshire to cover the Yorkshire Region that requires an experienced Estimator from a background in groundworks, civil engineering and infrastructure.

The Role:
• Overseeing projects to ensure costs remain in line with forecasts
• Compiling bids for new work
• Calculating the cost of materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire
• Obtaining quotes for all predicted requirements from suppliers
• Collating detailed price lists of everything needed on each project
• Clarifying the client's requirements and expectations
• Assessing and adhering to all risk assessments and health and safety requirements
• Liaising with others including Construction Managers, Planners, and Design Managers
• Completing work quality submissions
• Preparing and submitting quotations for work
• To work to the Company’s quality standards and performance criteria

The Candidate:
• Experience working as an Estimator in the Groundworks Sector (specifically residential groundworks would be highly beneficial.
• Someone who is ambitious and has a drive to progress
• Self-motivated and pro-active approach to work
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Good organisational skills
• The ability to meet strict deadlines
• Good negotiation skills
