Description

Our client is a busy accounting firm based in Manchester city centre. They are currently seeking a Finance Administrator to support the day to day finance and admin duties of the firm. This is a full time and permanent role and they are looking for someone committed to a career in finance and administration/ client support.

Key Responsibilities:

DIRECT DEBITS INCLUDING:
-Uploading monthly direct debits to GoCardless
-Downloading payments from GoCardless
-Importing to IRIS software
-Matching payments to generate VAT receipts
-Taking ad-hoc payments as requested/ needed
-Adding/ cancelling mandates

INVOICING
-Generating payroll invoices monthly (with cross billing)
-Generating accounts bills weekly
-Generating ad-hoc bills as needed

CARD PAYMENTS
-Taking card payments

DEBTORS
-Generating ledger weekly for chasing

INFORMATION RECEIVED
-Acknowledging postal information
-Saving of postal information
-Downloading, separating and saving information for tax returns, payroll, P11D, Accounts information from emails
-Logging information on relevant tracker/control for Manager to allocate

NEW CLIENTS
-Setting up network folder
-Completing KYC
-Saving AML information
- Requesting authorisation ad hoc

NEW COMPANY FORMATIONS
-Saving documents when they arrive from the CH into the network
-Sending to clients to open bank account
-Adding authentication code to IRIS & Tracker

LOST CLIENTS
- Send professional clearance out - ad hoc
-Close on IRIS
-Remove from tracker
-Archive on network

DISSOLVED COMPANY
-Remove from tracker
-Archive on network
-Inform client
- Close on IRIS

NEW PAYROLL
-Set up online Gateway (or attach to existing one)
-Request authority
-Add to tracker

POST
-Sending documents back to client when completed

HOLIDAY/ SICKNESS
-Update sheet and absence calendar

HMRC GDPR Requirements
-Weekly checking that the clients listed on Gateway for Payroll, CT and SA are current and you have a full list

TIMESHEETS
-Post weekly timesheets
-Set up next weeks timesheets
-Xfer time to CCH from IRIS weekly
-W/off non-medical Time on IRIS weekly

PERSON SPECIFICATION
-Previous experience in a similar role - 3+ years - essential
-Professional services or Accountancy practice background - essential
-Strong communication skills - essential
-Organised, efficient and methodical approach to working methods - essential

SUMMARY
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking highly regarded accounting practice. This role if office based and is paying £25k t- £28k dependent upon experience.
