A sizeable division of a large manufacturing group in Cumbria require an analytically minded senior finance professional to join them for a minimum period of 12 months to support throughout a period of transformation and change.

Hybrid/remote working will be available, with some presence on site as required in Kendal.

Your New Role as Finance Analyst:

This role has been created to support strategic initiatives through developing and using financial models and analysis. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Working cross functionally to identify areas for improving business performance through analysing KPI trends relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures and profit margin
• Analysing trends in manufacturing activity, providing insight on margin information
• Development of activity based costings, identifying areas for improvement
• Implementation of a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports to deliver business requirements
• Driving improved budgeting and forecasting processes
• Mentoring and developing junior finance staff

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful candidate will be formally qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with good understanding of manufacturing costing processes. With good commercial acumen and a background in a highly analytical role, you will demonstrate excellent business partnering capabilities with the ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders. Strong IT skills are imperative including Excel, you will be able to handle and manipulate large and complex data sets from multiple sources.
