Company Details and Job Overview:

A large, successful business in Carlisle has partnered with Kenton Black Finance as they strengthen their finance function by recruiting a new Finance Manager. This is a newly created position due to growth which has been designed to support the Finance Director with the overall running of the finance department, specifically assisting with management accounts, treasury, cash flow forecasting and purchase ledger supervision.

The business invest heavily in their people, systems and reporting tools and have recently implemented a new ERP system. There is further scope to add value through identifying and recommending areas for improvements to existing processes.

Your New Role as Finance Manager:

Reporting to an engaging and personable Finance Director and working in a large, friendly finance team, as Finance Manager you will enjoy a hands on and varied role which offers opportunity to add value to the finance function and wider business.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Supervision of the finance team, overseeing the daily operation of finance duties, providing mentorship and guidance where required
• Preparation of divisional and group consolidated management accounts included commentary and analysis
• Cash flow management and production of financial forecasts and budgets
• Supporting with year end financial accounting requirements
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a similar level position with good interpersonal and management/supervisory skills. Full or part CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification is desirable but my client is also interested to engage with candidates who are QBE. With good communication skills, you will be confident in presenting financial information to non-finance staff, advising and challenging where necessary. Strong systems skills are essential including MS Excel, and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
