Company Details and Job Overview:
A group of businesses in the leisure/hospitality sector on the Fylde Coast are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of all financial activities for the Group. This is an autonomous and hands on position which offers excellent variation and the opportunity to improve existing processes and procedures.
With an approximate turnover currently at £1m, ambitious growth plans are in place and this role works closely with Directors, providing strategic support to contribute to ongoing growth
This is a full time role (35 hours per week) with flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will receive a competitive starting salary which will depend upon experience.
Your New Role as Finance Manager:
As Finance Manager, you will report to the Directors in a standalone position covering all areas of finance. There is scope to grow the finance function by recruiting an Assistant once established in your new role. Specific duties will include:
• Producing monthly management information and providing analysis as required
• Preparation of year end and taxation reports, working closely with external accountants
• Monitoring of cash expenditure against budget
• Cash flow forecasting
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Daily cash reconciliations
• Preparing payroll information – payroll processing is currently outsourced
• Provision of ad hoc analysis and reports as required by Directors
• Provision of costings, analysis and projections relating to opening of new sites etc
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The successful candidate will be proven in a similar level finance capacity, ideally having knowledge of the leisure or hospitality industry and be flexible/open to change. Comfortable working using your own initiative, you will be used to working within a fast-paced environment where each day offers something different. Analytically minded, you will also demonstrate strong IT skills including Excel (pivot tables, VLookups).
