With various revenue streams and situated in picturesque surroundings, the business are in a period of growth and are seeking a talented Finance Lead to work closely with the MD in an exciting and rewarding role. As number one your will take the lead on all financial activity and look to improve process and procedure.
Your new role as Financial Controller:
As Financial Controller you shall take responsibility for all aspects of the finance function. With a hybrid working agreement, you shall lead the finance function with one direct report who assists with the ledger management and postings across the various revenue streams. As Financial Controller you shall be responsible for developing internal controls, enhancing the financial reporting and also seek to produce detailed management/statutory accounts in a timely manner. Working closely with a number of stakeholders, the organisation are in a period of growth and have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline.

Main Role Duties:
• Production of monthly management accounting, financial reports and annual statutory accounting
• Production of month-end analysis and board pack
• Manage the function and supervision of an accounts assistant, ensuring the timely close of month end ledgers
• Treasury management and management of all VAT, PAYE, corporation and other tax requirements
• Continuous improvements to enhance process and procedure
• Variance analysis across the various revenue streams
• Stakeholder engagement and business partnering
• Payroll management
• Production of annual budgets and forecasts in partnership with the operational heads
• Point of contact for liaison with the bank and external partners
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
In order to be considered for this role you shall have a proven track record of adding commercial value in a fast paced environment. You shall have operated as No.1 in a smaller group of businesses and have experience of managing staff. Technically strong with a hands-on approach you may be an active studier coming towards the end of your qualifications, be fully qualified or have a proven track record in a similar role as QBE. You shall have experience of developing process and procedure and be commercially savvy in a fast paced environment. Experience in the leisure and tourism sector will prove to have a distinct advantage.
