This leader in the construction field is currently searching for a Fleet Manager to bolster operations in Birmingham. This candidate will assist the depot manager in the day-to-day transport planning for deliveries, collections, and effective operations. As the company is expanding throughout the UK, this would be a fantastic opportunity to join. This role is specifically looking after a fleet of c1000 vans that operate UK-wide. This client requires a candidate with white fleet experience, rather than haulage/HGV.

Mon - Fri standard office hours

Day to Day Duties
Manage all orders for company vans, being the key point of contact for both drivers, suppliers and authorising managers
Oversee the return of all vehicles to the supplier and ensure that charges raised are appropriate, proportionate and in line with contracted terms
Monitor and manage mileage trends and arrange for leases to be re-scheduled as appropriate
Ensure suppliers are updated with changes to ensure correct invoicing and cost allocation and work with stakeholders to resolve any invoicing or payment issues
Analyse available data sources and make recommendations as appropriate
Analyse trends in the market and our progress towards sustainability targets

Essential Skills
At least 3 years experience in a similar role
Good postcode awareness preferential (does not require detailed postcode knowledge)
Able to adapt to Adhoc job planning requests
Attention to detail/discrepancies/problem solving

Desirable Experience
Experience Fleet Managing vans & cars
Strict attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Geographical knowledge of the UK
