Freelance Project Manager (Highways)
West Yorkshire / Leeds
Start: Immediate
Duration: 12-18 months
Rate: £300 - £340 per shift (DoE)

I am looking for a Freelance Project Manager from a Highways Background for civils and minor civils works on local authority highways schemes in the West Yorkshire Region.

The client I am working with are a West Yorkshire based Contractor with a solid track record of delivering quality schemes in the highways and infrastructure sector.

PROJECTS:
• Projects are valued up to £2m
• Average Duration 6-12 weeks per scheme
• Scope: Road Construction, Surfacing, Kerbing, Ducting, Drainage, 278 works etc

DUTIES:
• Reporting to a Contracts Manager
• Managing 2-4 small schemes or 1 large scheme
• Site Managers, Engineers, Foreman as Direct Reports
• Planning and programming of works
• Liaison with local authority (Client)
• Working closely with commercial teams
• Ensure all works are carried out inline with client and company procedures
• Ensure exemplary levels of H&S are maintained at all times
• Attend progress meetings

CANDIDATE
• Previous Highways experience as a Project Manager
• Strong Leader / Team Player / Good Motivator
• Good Communication written and verbal
• Professional Manner / Confident interacting with Client
• Good Trouble Shooter / See ahead of the curve
• CSCS / SMSTS / First Aid
