Geotechnical Engineer
£25-30,000 PA plus overtime, benefits

Due to a rapidly expanding workload in all sectors, my client is looking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer (or Geo-Environmental Engineer) to join their Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental Division.
You must hold a first degree in civil engineering, geology, environmental science or a related field. You should be enthusiastic, adaptable, self-motivated and organised. Candidates will be expected to be highly literate and able to communicate effectively. Driving license is essential as this role will involve both office and site based work.

Candidates should have experience of supervising site investigation works such as window sample, cable percussion, trial pitting and be able to log / describe soils

Desk Study Preparation
Human Health Risk Assessment
Waste Classification
Groundwater Risk Assessment
Ground Gas Risk Assessment
Ground Investigation
Foundation Assessment
Factual and Interpretative Report Preparation
Successful candidates will be expected to undertake and manage ground investigation and contaminated land projects within the Geotechnical & Geo-Environmental Division, and will be expected to make a significant contribution to the report writing capability of the department.
