Company Details and Job Overview:
A rapidly expanding division of a large manufacturing Group in Cumbria have partnered with Kenton Black Finance to recruit a Group Management Accountant. This specialist division is on a significant growth trajectory which will see an increase of 5x its current turnover over the next 5 years. This role is designed to support the finance lead, overseeing 3 junior finance staff being responsible for their training and development.
Your New role as Group Management Accountant:
As Group Management Accountant, you will enjoy a hands on and diverse finance role which includes providing a good balance of technical and commercial input:
• Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring for 3 junior finance staff
• Preparation of divisional management accounts, intercompany accounts and Group consolidated accounts
• Preparation of year end accounts being the primary point of contact for external auditors
• Responsibility for VAT submissions
• Support with the production of budgets and forecasts
• Cash flow reporting
• Be a key player in upcoming transformation projects relating to the improvement of existing systems and processes
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The successful candidate will be proven in a similar level finance role, ideally with exposure within the manufacturing industry and experience of costing procedures. Staff management/supervisory skills are essential, with the ability to develop a small finance team whilst also being committed to further developing your own skills. Experience of group consolidations and intercompany structures is also required, and knowledge of transfer pricing rules is advantageous. You will also be systems orientated with good Excel ability and knowledge of bespoke or mainstream ERP and costing systems.
