Description
A leading, reputable infrastructure and build contractor is looking for an Health & Safety Trainer to join their department and help support the function during a sustained period of growth, delivering a range of training courses to operatives across the company. You will have had a demonstrable track record in delivering multiple courses and also providing innovative, bespoke training to in-house employees. You will be expected to travel nationwide as required.
Reporting into the Head of Health & Safety, you will be:
• Developing and maintaining training materials and programs to address specific business objectives and to educate employees regarding the company’s minimum standards and deliver (SMSTS, SSSTS)
• Coaching staff at all levels through the delivery of training courses in the Health and Safety expectations of various roles
• Educating employees on the Company Health and Safety Management System and coaching others to use it
• Delivering training courses to a high standard to ensure delegates receive the best training experience and learn skills to help improve health and safety within the business
• Writing reports and general admin including submitting paperwork to CITB and Learning and Development following the completion of courses
• Working with Learning and Development to create a training needs programme based on the demands and needs of the business and individual projects
• Identifying the company's and employees' needs, assessing existing programs and plans, recommending and implementing changes to training materials
• Implement the company's safety procedures through training, including its vision and values
• Knowledge of full training cycle including delivery of leadership, management and mentoring skills
You will also have:
• NEBOSH, NVQ or NCRQ (ESSENTIAL)
• PTLLS – or equivalent
• Tech IOSH
• Internal Auditor qualification
• Understanding of the Learning and Development function
• CITB approved tutor status
• Significant experience of training including within the construction industry
