We are delighted to be recruiting a HR Manager / Advisor for a Construction business in Tipton part of a larger PLC The HR Manager / Advisor will be responsible for providing a strategic and operational HR service to Managers at Offices in Tipson

The role would suit someone who has previously worked in a Construction environment where they have delivered improvements and changes to working practices that optimise both the business performance and the HR effectiveness.

Main duties of the role:

Effectively carry out workforce planning ensuring that the business plan for future staff numbers and considers the type of skills needed in the future.
Manage the administration of current human resource policies, programs and practices throughout the site in order to support management planning and develop strategic initiatives.
Advising on appropriate organisational structures and ensuring the right people are in the right jobs at the right time.
Change management - to effectively manage change projects ensuring legal compliance, best practice and business requirements.
Management support and development
Disciplinary and Grievance handling
Provide operational support and advice to Directors/Managers on employee issues such as performance management, disciplinary & grievance and absence, compensation and reward according to performance.

The skills required to do this role:

CIPD qualification is advantageous but not essential
Thorough knowledge of Human Resources functions in an Industrial environment/organisation.
Good knowledge and experience in the field of Recruitment, people development, training and talent management.
Strong change agent, demonstrated abilities to understand business, to achieve business site ownership and to implement appropriate HR programs.
A strong desire to develop good relations, proven by an open minded personality, enthusiasm and a dynamic approach, knowing how to create and maintain a team spirit and how to win everyone's trust.

This is a hands on HR position where the company operate an open door policy, they are looking for someone who builds relationships with all the employees in the business including both shop floor and office.
