HSE Manager (AH038)
Location: Birkenhead, Merseyside
£35K - £45K (Dependent upon experience) + 25 Days Holiday + Flexible Working + Share Options
Our client is an exciting start-up business who have developed a ground-breaking new separation technology in the production of an innovative biological alternative to a specific speciality chemical. As a result, they are now looking to recruit a HSE Manager to be pivotal in providing HSE expertise to the new plant that they are going to commence building shortly near Birkenhead.
They are spearheading the research into this innovative technology and, as such, are growing at an alarming rate offering endless career development opportunities for the right individual.
Role Responsibilities
As a HSE Manager, you will be based at their new build plant near Birkenhead and be responsible for:
• Providing legislative and regulation advice to senior management on all H&S matters
• Providing input into the design and process flow of equipment from a health & safety perspective
• Leading HAZOP for plant build
• Gaining and maintaining quality accreditations for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001
• Implementing a multi-site H&S audit schedule
• Leading site H&S audits
• Providing expertise on COSHH, risk assessments etc
• Investigating all incident and accidents on site
• Providing H&S training to all levels of the business.
Role Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates will be NEBOSH qualified and possess significant H&S experience in chemical manufacturing plants or biotechnology facilities.
You will have a great understanding of various ISO accreditations including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001 and maintaining compliance of these on site.
You must be an excellent communicator with the ability to manage your own time and be confident building relationships with people at all levels.
