Inspections Engineer
Our client is a global leader in inspection, testing and certification services. They are currently seeking to recruit an Inspection Engineer to support their division.
The main purpose of this role will be to carry out high quality inspections of their clients assets, reporting the ongoing suitability, defects and omissions. You will travel from a home based location to carry out high quality inspections.
Key Accountabilities
• Undertake Inspections as required so that customers’ needs are met in a safe, accurate and timely manner ensuring all findings are reported in a manor supportive of prompt reporting.
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with the identified scope of work at all times in compliance with the definition and intent of the governing procedures, policy, reporting guidelines and risk assessment
• To hold suitable understanding of the failure and degradation mechanisms of the assets to be inspected to support your engineering judgement and validation of position.
• To receive allocation of works and oversee and support, so far is reasonable and in scope, the clients statutory compliance in the professional, friendly and authoritative manner expected of all client-facing position
• To provide limited technical and legislative support to clients and colleagues within the remit of a type A inspection body
• Undertake dynamic assessment at the point and place of work ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental protection is assured
• Ensure all Health and Safety requirements of your department and employees are met in accordance with the H&S at work act and the Management of H&S regulations.
• To produce compliant technical inspection reports in a timely manner
Experience required:
• The QA/QC Technical Inspector shall meet the following requirements as
• A strong NDT or related discipline background
• Experience within a relevant industry including knowledge of Storage Tanks, Boiler / Steam generation Plant, Heat Exchangers, Process vessels, Air Receivers, Safety Devices and repairs / modifications.
• A thorough understanding of the PSSR Regulations.
• Full Driving license valid in the UK
