Company Details and Job Overview:

An entrepreneurial and fast-growth Group of businesses near Blackpool require an interim Financial Controller for a minimum period of 6 months. Whilst this requirement is initially on a contract basis, a permanent role may become available and an immediate start is available.

Your New Role as Interim Financial Controller:

Leading a team of 2-3 Accounts Assistants/Assistant Accountants, this position includes a combination of hands on finance and business partnering duties:

• Production of the monthly management accounts pack
• Preparation of various reports and analysis to present to senior management
• Cash flow forecasting
• Preparation of budgets
• Mentoring and developing the finance team
• Working cross-functionally to provide financial insight to various budget holders

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered, you will be proven in a similar level position with the ability to quickly adapt and pick up new systems/processes. Strong Excel skills are essential as you will be required to handle and manipulate large data volumes. Good communication skills are key and you will have the confidence to challenge and influence at a senior level as required.

Summary:

To summarise, this Financial Controller opportunity is initially on an interim basis although there is potential of permanency for the successful candidate. You will gain excellent business visibility with the opportunity to add value and support at a strategic level as well as remaining hands on in finance. An immediate start is available and interviews will be taking place on site imminently.
