Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor

Looking for an exciting opportunity to join a leading GMP Contract Research Organization (CRO) and make a difference in the pharmaceutical industry? A CRO in the Cambridgeshire area is looking for a laboratory supervisor to contribute to their mission of delivering high-quality analytical and testing services to support drug development.

Responsibilities:
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Plan and organize workload for themselves and other members of The Laboratory Support Team when necessary
Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ensure supply of clean glassware is available for laboratory use
Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Support and supervise the Laboratory Support Team in delivering sample coordination services, ensuring that samples are receipted, booked-in and disposed of in line with SOP
Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist the Lab Support Team in monitoring and maintaining consumable levels within the goods-in areas and ensure that consumables in the lab areas are re-stocked
Â
-         Deliver waste management services, ensuring that bins are routinely emptied, and lab waste is stored and disposed of in-line with the company’s waste management procedures
Â
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Ensure that QMS records are raised when appropriate by the Laboratory Support Team, and are closed out in a timely manner

-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Be an effective communicator with staff across all levels of the business. Clear communication, both written and oral, with manager and colleagues are essential to maintain the smooth running of the team

Required skills and experience:
Relevant laboratory experience
Experience managing or supervising a team is preferred
Experience with common pharmaceutical materials and equipment is an advantage
Flexible and responsive to support routine and non-routine requests as part of a team
Motivated to learn and develop their skills
Good IT literacy skills
Clear written and verbal communications skills with the ability to clearly convey processes, results and key messages and able to build rapport, quickly and effectively
