Microbiology technician

This is a rolling contract with high potential go permanent after 4 months.

Kenton Black is a recruitment partner to a water testing laboratory based in Belfast.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of samples water samples for microbial analysis
• Processing of samples
• Reading and confirmation of samples in line with company protocols
• General maintenance of the laboratory
• Work according ISO17025 guidelines
Hours of Work:
During training the normal hours will be 0900-1700 Monday – Friday. Once trained in post staff will be required to work as part of a shift pattern, this will usually be a 5-day shift rotation. The shift pattern will cover Monday – Sunday 0800 - 1600 or 0900 – 1700 or 1000 - 1800 with a minimum of two days off per week unless overtime is required.
Qualifications
Degree in Science or equivalent - happy to consider newly graduated candidates.
Experience working within a fast-paced environments.
