Laboratory training coordinator

Excellent opportunity for a laboratory training coordinator within a water microbiology testing laboratory.
Kenton Black is a recruitment partner to a global water microbiology testing laboratory who are looking for a laboratory training coordinator to join their team based in London. This person will be responsible for training laboratory staff and co-ordinate training programme.

Key responsibilities

Ensure all new laboratory staff are trained in all aspects of laboratory activities including microbial testing, sample preparation and documentation
Work with laboratory managers and team leaders to ensure all new staff receive induction on their first day
Responsible for developing and maintaining training matrix for the laboratory
Ensure all training materials are up to date with UKAS regulations
Ensure to keep a track of all training records
Ensure to produce monthly KPI data that shows the required number of competent staff to run each task and a percentage of the actual number

Requirements

Degree in Microbiology/ Biological sciences or equivalent
Previous experience in working within water/food microbiology testing laboratory
Experience in working according ISO17025 guidelines
Previous experience in providing training to new staff
Excellent communication and written skills
Excellent IT skills including Excel, LIMS and databases
