A large, successful business in Carlisle has partnered with Kenton Black Finance as they strengthen their finance function by recruiting a new Management Accountant. This is a newly created position due to growth which has been designed to provide hands on support across routine finance tasks and upcoming projects.
The business invest heavily in their people, systems and reporting tools and have recently implemented a new ERP system. There is further scope to add value through identifying and recommending areas for improvements to existing processes.
Working in a newly refurbished office space, you will join a friendly team within a people focused environment. Flexibility around working hours will be available including a hybrid working arrangement if required (2 days per week working remotely).
Your New Role as Management Accountant:
As Management Accountant you will report to an experienced and technically strong Senior Management Accountant who will ensure a smooth transition into your new role.
Specific responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and associated commentary and analysis
• Management of cashflow
• Support in the production of financial forecasts and budgets
• Assist in the year end statutory accounting process
• Providing ad hoc analysis and reports to senior management to aid effective decision making
• Be a key player in continual improvement initiatives and other projects as required
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The ideal candidate will be experienced in a similar level position with good technical ability. Full or part CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification is desirable but my client is also interested to engage with candidates who are QBE. With an analytical mindset, you will be confident in providing financial insight to various stakeholders. Strong systems skills are essential including MS Excel, and knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
