Part of a larger group, they have taken the decision to move some manufacturing on-site to the wigan area and have a dynamic way of working to ensure Clients based in the UK and overseas are stocked with a wide variety of product which cross numerous sectors in both the UK and abroad. Your new role as Assistant Management Accountant:

As Assistant Management Accountant you shall support the month end routine, with responsibility to support the business by providing timely and accurate financial information, in order to improve decision making processes. The role will ensure that all statutory and business guidelines are adhered to with the main responsibility to analyse the monthly management pack and prepare accruals/prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and to support budgeting and forecasting of P&L and B/S. You shall also support quarterly and year end activities for the business.

A rounded and varied role with the opportunity to progress, you shall be supported in your role and have the support of the group to develop and learn new skills.

Main role duties:

Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts pack.
Month end analyses (GL, Accrual and Prepayment).
Analysing and reconciling central recharges.
Analysing overheads expenditure by departmental level and cost categories.
Preparing balance sheet reconciliation.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting process.
Assisting preparation of the ax Pack in line with guidelines in coordination with the Central Tax team.
Reviewing and analysing payroll postings. (desirable)
Review Fixed Asset register as per Siemens guideline. (desirable)
Assisting with year end audit.
Supporting FC with other ad hoc duties.

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

To be considered you shall have operated in a similar role and have the appetite to continue study or develop further. Part ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified you will ideally have had exposure to SAP (desirable but not essential) and have the experience to carry out the duties within the specification.
