Your new role as Management Accountant:

As Management Accountant you shall support the Financial Controller as well as being a key liaison to internal stakeholders. Working with likeminded finance professionals in both in the UK and abroad, this is a varied and exciting role where no day will be the same. The group are in a period of rapid growth both in the UK and overseas and have an accounts function across the wider group currently made up of 6 individuals. As Management Accountant based in the central head office you shall be the main point of contact for the UK business. This role is diverse and progressive and the team is looking for a dynamic person, with a “thinking on your feet” attitude, who is capable of handling and anticipating a variety of duties.

With exposure to colleagues across the globe and the ability to gain experience across the UK business, you shall maintain the day to day operations in finance as well as having the opportunity to be involved in various projects. This role holds much opportunity for growth and development. Support will be given to you as a candidate if desired and will also support the ability for you to study and gain professional qualifications should you wish.

Main Role Duties:

• Preparing monthly management accounts for a number of UK entities
• Day to day management of the ledgers for a number of UK entities in Xero
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Dealing with HMRC queries (VAT, Corporation tax and PAYE)
• Supporting the Purchasing team and cost control
• Maintain inventory records
• Liaising and working closely with members of the finance teams across the globe
• Assisting financial controller with the preparation of board/management material
• Preparing monthly cross charges journals and intercompany transaction and balances matrix
• Prepare complex reconciliations across multiple entities

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

We are looking for an individual who is proactive in their work, innovative, eager to learn and an effective communicator. There is no formal qualification required to apply however, you must have industry experience in a similar role where the tasks and responsibilities have been part of your day to day role. The business will support you in studies should you wish to take these on or complete a part qualification and they will also look at Candidates who are fully qualified and ready to take the next step in your career. You shall have experience of preparing management accounts, as well as month end processes, cashflow review and other core accounting duties. This role also requires strong communication skills. Although not essential you may also have knowledge and experience of consolidation and have used Xero.
