Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a large manufacturing Group in Kendal as they seek to appoint an experienced Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner to cover a period of upcoming maternity leave. This long-term contract of around 14 months will provide varied exposure across month end routine combined with business partnering duties within a sizeable division of a complex Group structure.

Hybrid working will be available along with flexibility on working hours. A part time/reduced working week can be considered for the successful individual. An immediate start is available and a comprehensive handover will be provided.

Your New Role as Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner responsibilities will include:

• Production of the monthly management accounts pack including balance sheet, P&L and commentary
• Building and maintaining relationships with various key internal stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insight and support to aid effective decision making
• Support with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with year end and audit requirements
• Create reporting packs and hold periodic meetings with budget holders to discuss potential efficiencies and cost-savings
• Liaise with other finance professionals within the business to agree intercompany balances
• Be a key player in driving continual improvements including process and system improvements

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The ideal candidate will be proven in a similar level Management Accounting position, ideally with knowledge of a manufacturing or product based business. Strong communication skills are required, with the ability to influence and challenge where required. Strong IT skills are essential including Excel as you will be using complex models and spreadsheets, handling large data volumes.
