Working within the close commercial team of this well respected family owned regional contractor - This position for a Managing Estimator comes due to growth within the region, from existing client base and the successful addition to a number of frameworks with projects in the education, healthcare and retail sectors.

As a Managing Estimator, you will be at the forefront of the pre-construction efforts, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the estimation process for projects of varying complexity up to £8m. Your leadership skills will guide the estimation team, ensuring accurate cost assessments and the feasibility of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of estimators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to understand project objectives, scope, and requirements.
• Oversee the analysis of project plans, specifications, and documents to develop precise cost estimates.
• Utilise construction estimating software and tools to facilitate accurate assessments.
• Coordinate the preparation of detailed take-offs and material quantification for diverse construction activities.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities during the estimation process and contribute to mitigation strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews, strategy discussions, and value engineering initiatives.
• Foster relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals to enhance estimating capabilities.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure seamless project handover post-award.
