Managing Quantity Surveyor
Derbyshire
Highways/Infrastructure

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed individual to lead a commercial team. My client is currently looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join them on their infrastructure division.

My client is a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out company. Who deliver vital projects across a range of sectors including health, education, highways, justice, defence, aviation, water and environment.

As Manging Quantity Surveyor, you must oversee the successful financial delivery of multiple highways projects working with National Highways and Local Authorities from pre-construction to post completion.

This is a leadership role with clear progression laid out into more senior positions within the business. As a result my client is keen to speak to candidates who are both contractually and commercially aware, with a strong ‘head for numbers’ and experienced in commercial reporting. Ideally you will have experience working on similar schemes and have leadership characteristics.

Essential
• Qualification at degree level (or equivalent qualification)
• Experience as a Manging Quantity Surveyor or similar position with a Main Civil Engineering Contractor
• Experience working with Highways England and Local Authorities
• Experience working on highways schemes including earthworks, drainage and structures
• Excellent NEC 3 contract experience.
• Strong commercial/contractual knowledge
• Valid CSCS card
