Kenton Black Finance are delighted to represent this successful and friendly practice business in the Chester area, who due to continued business expansion, are now seeking to appoint a capable, confident Payroll Bureau Manager within a medium sized, stable payroll bureau. This is very much a hands on payroll operational management role, dealing with all aspects of payroll management & operations and client liaison, doing what you do best and building strong client relationships ensuring the team and department are effectively processing the necessary payrolls on behalf of clients within this established business.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Payroll management ensuring effective payroll operations for end to end for both weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly & monthly payrolls for clients ( mostly SME's with some larger payroll clients)
Dealing with BACS payments
Overseeing and dealing with auto enrolment pension processing
RTI and HMRC liaison
SMP/SSP, starters and leavers i.e. P45/P46
Client liaison, dealing with queries and providing services advice
Ideally knowledge of Brightpay & Iris (desirable, not essential, training provided)
As Payroll Bureau Manager you will be responsible for:
Payroll management/operations experience overseeing/processing end to end undertaking weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
Ability to adapt well into new surroundings with a flexible approach to work
Proactive and innovative approach to resolving queries
Confident and friendly communication/telephone manner
Previous experience within a similar role.
The successful Payroll Bureau Manager will possess strong Payroll Management/Operations experience at a senior level and this role is suitable for an existing Payroll Manager or Payroll Senior ready for the next level in their career. You will also ideally have expertise within a payroll Bureau/accountancy environment with knowledge and expertise of running weekly and monthly payrolls from end to end, together with ideally previous managerial experience to oversee a small payroll team.
In addition the successful candidate will possess a friendly, confident telephone manner to deal with client enquiries/queries effectively providing advice regarding company services.
Package: to c£28K- £30K Negotiable dependent on experience + 5 weeks hols + pension +Parking + benefits!
