Kenton Black are proud to represent a progressive, expanding accountancy practice with a strong office network based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire who as a result of expansion and continued new business success, are now seeking to appoint x 2 Payroll Officers. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will undertake a busy, varied payroll processing role dealing with your own portfolio of clients. Dealing with payroll processing on a weekly/monthly/fortnightly basis, dealing with both client and HMRC queries.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a stable and successful payroll team who are passionate about payroll! This role would be suitable for an experienced individual with previous payroll bureau experience within ideally an accountancy/bureau environment, HOWEVER my client will also consider applicants from industry with multi interval payroll processing experience.

Duties included but not limited to:

Payroll processing - Sage/Iris/Brightpay (training can be provided on these systems)
Dealing with weekly/fortnightly/monthly/4 weekly payrolls
SMP/SSP
HMRC liaison
Pension auto-enrolment
Dealing with client and HMRC queries
Working as part of a busy payroll team

Person Specification:

Previous experience of running weekly/fortnightly/4 weekly/monthly payrolls end to end within an accountancy practice ideally, however multi interval payroll processing experienced within industry will also be considered.
Knowledge of SAGE/IRIS, Brightpay (ideally previous knowledge, training can be provided)
Auto-enrolment pensions experience
HMRC and client liaison experience, able to deal with payroll queries
Friendly, proactive, organised personality, able to work in a team environment

Salary: to c £26K + Pension + Flexible working+ Incentive Schemes!
