Kenton Black are proud to represent an expanding professional financial company with an office network based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire who due to continued new business success, are now seeking to appoint a Payroll Officer. Working as part of a small friendly payroll team, you will undertake a busy, varied payroll processing role handling your own portfolio of clients. Undertaking payroll processing on a weekly/monthly/fortnightly basis you will be experienced at dealing with both client and HMRC tax queries.

This is an great opportunity to join a successful payroll team who are passionate about their payroll and the clients they look after. This Payroll Officer role is ideal for an experienced payroller ideally with previous payroll bureau/accountancy practice experience, HOWEVER my client will also consider applicants from industry with at least 3+yrs of multi interval payroll processing expertise.

Duties included but not limited to:

Running weekly/fortnightly/monthly/four weekly payrolls via Sage/Iris (training can be provided)
Processing SMP/SSP
Dealing with new starters/leavers,
HMRC liaison
PAYE
Pension auto-enrolment
Dealing with client queries
SSP/SMP
P45/P46''''s
Working as part of a busy payroll department

Person Specification:

Previous experience of running weekly/fortnightly/4 weekly/monthly payrolls end to end within an accountancy practice/bureau ideally, however multi interval payroll processing experience in another industry will also be considered.
Experience of SAGE/IRIS (ideally previous knowledge, training can be provided)
Auto-enrolment/pensions knowledge
HMRC liaison experience
Client payroll queries
Friendly, organised personality, able to work as part of a team

Salary: to c £28K + Pension + Parking + 23 days hols + Incentive Schemes!
