This great opportunity is ideally suited to someone in an existing Payroll specialist role who is now seeking to join a friendly firm offering a great place to work and more autonomy!
This is an exciting opportunity offering flexible working hours and free parking working within a stable and long standing payroll team department. The ideal candidate will ideally possess a previous accountancy practice OR payroll bureau background, HOWEVER my client will consider strong payroll experience within a commerce and industry payroll role!
Overall, you should be flexible in your work approach, possess full end to end payroll processing experience undertaking weekly/monthly/quarterly payroll operations and have expertise undertaking the following duties:
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -
Responsible for the management of a portfolio clients payroll on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time using Superpay (knowledge desirable however software training given)
Responsible for the daily administration of various client payrolls including RTI submissions to HMRC, processing of Year End information,
Dealing with both internal and external liaison with updates to clients, team members ,s and queries with the HMRC
Process P45/P46/P60, MATB1, Student loans, and P11D's
PAYE, National Insurance, SSP, SMP, attachment of earnings/orders
Dealing and overseeing auto enrolment pension processing
Previous experience within a similar role running full end to end payrolls from start to finish
Able to work to deadlines with strong time management skills
Good client liaison skills with a confident friendly telephone manner
Proactive and innovative approach to resolving queries
Ideally knowledge of Superpay or similar - not essential but desirable as training
Working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook
The successful candidate will possess strong Payroll processing expertise running payrolls from end to end, In addition, will possess a friendly and confident telephone manner, able to deal with client enquiries/queries effectively.
