A top 20 accountancy firm is seeking a talented Personal Tax Consultant to join their dynamic team based in Lancaster. As one of the leading accountancy firms in the region, they pride themselves on delivering expert financial solutions to a diverse range of clients.

Role Overview:

As a Personal Tax Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional tax advice and planning services to individual clients.

Your primary responsibility will be to analyse their financial situations, prepare accurate tax returns, and offer strategic tax planning to optimize their tax liabilities. You will work closely with our clients to understand their unique circumstances and offer personalized recommendations to help them achieve their financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of clients' financial records to prepare and file accurate personal tax returns.
• Provide expert advice on tax planning, ensuring clients maximize deductions, credits, and exemptions while complying with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Stay up to date with the latest changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing support and addressing their tax-related queries.
• Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to financial solutions for clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience, ATT qualified/part qualified or QBE with practice experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations related to personal taxation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients.
• Professional certification or studying towards qualification (e.g., ATT, CTA).
• Proficiency in using tax preparation software and MS Office applications.
